Italy's major gateways are the airports of Milan and Rome. Milan's Malpensa Airport (intercontinental) is about 45 km from the city centre, Linate (domestic and international nights) only 6 km. In Rome, flights land at Fiumicino (Leonardo da Vinci Airport), 30 km from the city centre. Other international airports are located in Pisa (for Florence), Venice, Bologna, Naples, Turin and Genoa. Overseas passengers traveling by ship usually land at Genoa, Naples or Venice. There are excellent train connections to and from all major European cities, mostly by intercity connections or "Eurostar" super fast trains. Motorists coming from the North can reach Italy crossing one of such famous tunnels or scenic road passes as Mt. Blanc, San Bernardo Simplon, St. Gotthard, Brenner, etc. Frequent car ferry services connect Italy with Slovenia, Croatia, Albania, Greece, Turkey, Malta, Tunisia, Morocco, Spain, Egypt and, of course, with its own islands.
