Hotel organization is rich and comprehensive, reaching an exceptional level in the celebrated deluxe establishments, but very comfortable also in all other selected categories.
Many hotels offer a wide choice of restaurants (classic, specialty grill, self-service, American bar), swimming pools, solariums, saunas, hairdressers, specialty shops and nightclubs.
Every hotel has beautiful rooms and comfortable beds (in which one can get a proper night's sleep after a day of excursions), courteous service and good food. And just out of curiosity, we suggest a visit to one of the grand hotels so typically Italian, so imbued with atmosphere created from patrician villas, palaces or convents, and surrounded by magnificent parks and stupendous views.
All Italian cities and tourist resorts offer a vast array of hotels of every class for every purse. The classification of the various categories is stated in "stars" starting from 5 stars for the deluxe hotel to 1 star for the very basic tourist ones.
With all taxes, buffet breakfast and service charges included:
5-star rates are about € 335/380 for one single, € 480/580 for one double, Add about € 115/135 per person for two meals.

Rooms without private bath are surely cheaper and always have hot running water but are nearly not existing any longer, Not to be overlooked, especially for longer stays, are the many pleasant and not too expensive "pensioni", bed and breakfast or private lodging houses, some of which offer service and facilities equal to hotels, plus a congenial and less impersonal atmosphere.
