2nd day - MONDAY - ROME/SIENA/FLORENCE Departure at 08.00h. from your hotel by deluxe motor coach to Siena. Free time at leisure to visit this interesting town and mediaeval center: the famous Piazza del Campo and the Cathedral. In the afternoon we head for Florence. Overnight stay.
3rd day - TUESDAY - FLORENCE/PISA/VENICE Morning visit of Florence. This city, which is of Etruscan-Roman origin, nourished during the Middle Ages as a free commune; under the Medici princes it was further enriched by notable masterpieces of Renaissance art. It is one of the most beautiful Italian cities. Morning sightseeing tour including: the Duomo, the Baptistery, with the Golden Doors of Ghiberti, Giotto's Bell Tower, Loggia della Signoria, the Academy of Fine Arts with the original David by Michelangelo. Afternoon departure to Pisa. Visit Piazza dei Miracoli, the exterior of the Cathedral, the Leaning Tower and the Baptistery, back to Florence. Overnight stay.
4th day - WEDNESDAY - FLORENCE/PADUA/VENICE Morning at leisure. In the late morning departure to Padua, ancient university town with arcaded streets, in time to visit St. Anthony's Basilica and tomb, and the Scrovegni Chapel, with Giotto's precious frescoes. One-hour drive to Venice to your hotel. Remaining afternoon hours at leisure. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
5th day - THURSDAY - VENICE In the morning visit of this ancient city, which was a very important commercial and political center during the Renaissance born from the sea. Venice is rich in monuments and churches; we will visit the Doge's Palace, the Bridge of Sighs, St. Mark's Square and Cathedral. The afternoon will be at leisure, available for a visit to other well known landmarks or for optional motor launch tours to the lagoon islands. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
6th day - FRTDAY - VENICENERONAILAKE GARDA/MILAN In the morning departure to Verona. Stop to visit the exterior of the Roman Arena and Juliet's House. Continue to Desenzano, visit Lake Garda, and continue to Milan. Overnight stay.
7th day - SATURDAY - MILAN/SAN MARINO In the morning sightseeing of Milan. Visit of the historic center, now the most industrial city of Italy. Visit includes the Duomo, in Gothic style, and La Scala Opera House. Continue to San Marino, a country within a country and one of the oldest republics in Europe. Overnight stay.
8th day - SUNDAY - SAN MARINO/ASSISI/ROME Departure to Assisi. Drive through verdant hilly countryside to Assisi, a quaint Umbrian town on a hillside, with a mystical atmosphere, birthplace of St. Francis where every step, every stone reminds us of him. We will see the great Franciscan Basilica and its frescoes (Giotto and Cimabue), the church dedicated to St. Claire, a visit of Santa Maria degli Angeli and many other famous religious landmarks. After sightseeing and lunch, continue to Rome with arrival in the early evening. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.
9th day - MONDAY - ROME Full-day sightseeing including: Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Foro Italico, Janiculum Hill, view of Roman Forum and the Imperial Forum, the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the walls. Overnight stay.
10th day - TUESDAY - ROME Day at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay. We suggest joining in the morning (not included in the price) the optional excursion to the Vatican Museums to admire: the Candelabra Gallery, the Tapestry Gallery, the Gallery of Maps, the Rooms of Raphael (with the master's magnificent frescoes), the Sistine Chapel (adorned with Michelangelo's famous masterpieces), the Sacred Art Museum and Bernini's Royal Staircase.
11th day - WEDNESDAY - ROME Day at leisure. Other optional excursions are available. Dinner and overnight stay.
12th day - THURSDAY - ROME/NAPLES/POMPEI/SORRENTO Departure to Naples along the Sun Route highway, short visit of the city founded in the 7th century B.C. by the Greeks, Via Carracciolo, the sea front promenade, the Castle d'Ovo, San Carlo Opera House, Royal Palace, and continue to Pompei, visit of excavations of the Roman town destroyed in 79 A.D. by Vesuvius. Continue to Sorrento. Overnight stay.
13th day - FRIDAY - SORRENTO/POMPEI/SORRENTO After breakfast transfer to the port of Sorrento to board the ship to the Isle of Capri. After cruising for 45 minutes arrival at Marina Grande, the port of Capri. We board motorboats to visit the Blue Grotto, weather and sea conditions permitting. Retuni to Manna Grande where we board minibuses for a panoramic tour of the isle: Capri, the village situated between Mount Tiberio and Mount Solaro, Anacapri, the highest village of the isle, where we view a stupendous panorama of the Bay of Naples. Lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon proceed to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
14th day - SATURDAY - SORRENTO/ROME Morning at leisure. Departure in the afternoon to Rome. Overnight in Rome.
15th day - SUNDAY - ROME Private departure transfer from hotel to airport or railway station. End of our services.
