Italian agriculture is famous all over the world thanks to its geographic position, especially the good climate, makes our natural products amongst the best and the most famous of the Mediterranean countries.

This tour offers the possibility to an expert in one of the above fields, to know our plantations, our cowsheds and all the procedures of transformation, TO HAVE ON THE TABLE .... our good Parmigiano cheese, our Chianina meat and our Lambrusco or Chianti wines ..... and also to spend some day to admire the beauties of the visited cities.

Day 1 Milan

On arrival in Milan you will be met by your driver and professional Sour escort. You have two options to start your tour.

First option is a visit to the vineyards of the nearby Oltrepò Pavese famous for the production of Barbera, Freccia Rossa and Barbacarlo.

The second one is a visit to one of the many large and important dairy and beef livestock farms located in the provinces of Milano or Lodi always within max 50 km from the city center.

The day will end with an orientation tour of Milan including: the Duomo Cathedral, the Piazza della Scala and The Castello Sforzesco. Transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2 Milan - Parma

Breakfast at your hotel. Departure to Mantua for a visit to one of the most famous farms of the area. The visit will be followed by a local expert in the field.

Lunch included in the same area. Continuation to Reggio Emilia for a visit of a meat processing plant such us: Unicarni, Ipercoop, etc. After the visit departure for Parma for dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 3 Parma

Breakfast at your hotel. Morning visit to Parma and meeting with the Parma cheese cooperative. Visit a farm affiliated with this dairy cooperative. Lunch with the farmer representative of the Consorzio Parmigiano Reggiano. In the afternoon we will visit a Parma Ham Factory a local expert in the field that will explain all the rules of the production. Return at the hotel for overnight. Dinner is on your own.

Day 4 Parma - Modena

Breakfast at your hotel. Departure for a visit to Ermes Malpinghi and his balsamic vine bar factory with tasting. Lunch in a local and typical restaurant of the area. Return to Parma in the late afternoon". Dinner on your own.

Day 5 Modena - Florence

Breakfast at your hotel. Departure to Bologna and stop to visit of a dairy-research farm such as Garanorolo Felsinea.

Lunch included during the course of the tour. Proceed to Florence. Arrival and orientation tour of the city: Piazza del Duomo, Giotto's Bell Tower, the Old Bridge across the Arno River and the Piazzale Michelangelo. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 6 Florence - Siena - Orvieto - Rome

Breakfast at your hotel. Departure for Rome with a stop in Siena for a visit of the best preserved medieval town in Italy. We will visit, mostly on foot, the Cathedral with Pinturicchio works, the Town Hall with masterpieces by Italian painters and sculptors, the Churches of St. Domenico and St. Francesco, beautiful example of medieval architecture and the famous shell-shaped Piazza del Campo dominated by the Torre del Mangia.

Lunch in a typical restaurant. For the farmers interested in cattle we can surely organize a visit to a Chianina cows farm.

Proceed to Orvieto and visit one of the vineyard producing the famous dry white wine and wine tasting. Continue to Rome and arrive late in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 7 Rome

Breakfast at your hotel. Early departure for a technical visit, south of Rome, to a dairy milk factory famous for its "Bufala" mozzarella-cheese, You will visit the various stages and procedures of the production of this very good and famous cheese.

You will also have the opportunity to taste these products.

Lunch on your on. In the afternoon departure for a sightseeing tour of Rome including: Piazza della Repubblica, the Aurelian walls, the Pantheon, the Colosseum, Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain and the Spanish steps. Farewell dinner in a typical restaurant of Rome including musical entertainers singing traditional songs of the Italian folklore. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 8 Rome - Fiumicino Airport

Transfer from your hotel to Rome Leonardo da Vinci airport.
