NORTH ITALIAN LAKES TOUR

Tour fully escorted by our experienced multilingual tour manager.

Ten meals are included in our quotation, (three lunches and seven dinners in typical restaurant with varied four course menù).

1st day - Milan

Arrival and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon enjoy a comprehensive tour of the city which includes, among other many interesting highlights, the Duomo, La Scala theatre, the Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci at the Santa Maria delle Grazie Church and the Sforza Castle.

A welcome cocktail will be offered before dinner at the hotel's bar. Welcome dinner will be in a local restaurant along the "i Navigli".

Overnight at the hotel.

2nd day - Milan - Gardone Riviera

After breakfast departure by air conditioned motor coach towards beautiful Verona. Orientation tour of the city of Romeo and Juliet and free time to stroll around and taste a glass of famous local wine (red Bardolino or white Soave). Then proceed to Gardone Riviera, a charming little town on the almost Mediterranean Lake of Garda located at the foot of the Alps. Dinner. Overnight stay at the Gardone hotel.

3rd day - Gardone - Lake of Garda

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning departure to Riva del Garda to board the hydrofoil at Riva for a most scenic tour across the lake, surrounded by majestic mountains, gentle slopes and luxuriant green coast with destination Sirmione.

After free time in Riva, return in the evening by hydrofoil across the lake to Desenzano, then by bus to Barbarano di Salo/Gardone.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

4th day - Gardone - Stresa

After breakfast departure to Bergamo with two-hour stop before on the shores of Lake Iseo, a beautiful small lake with the biggest island among those of the Italian lakes. Upon arrival in Bergamo the tour provides for a stop. Orientation tour of the city, rich in monuments dating back to the Medieval Age and Lombard Renaissance. Lunch included in typical restaurant. After lunch tour proceeds to Stresa for accommodation at the hotel.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

5th day - Stresa - Lake Maggiore

Half board at the hotel. In the morning a visit will be made by boat to see the Borromean Islands, among which is the world famous Isola Bella. Always by boat proceed to Pescatori's Island famous for its fishermen village for lunch, served in a local restaurant of this tiny island. The excursion will continue in the afternoon to the nearby Lake of Orta that is one of the smallest and calm lakes of north Italy with a tiny island in the middle called San Giulio. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

6th day - Stresa - Cernobbio

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for the Lake of Como. The journey will start taking you into Swiss territory to admire Lake Lugano and to visit the nices cities of Lugano and Locarno.

After a break for lunch (included), proceed via Porlezza and across the lake (by lake ferry) to Cernobbio. Upon arrival at the hotel in Cemobbio, a welcome cocktail will be served before dinner. Overnight.

7th day - Cadenabbia - Lake of Como

In the morning half day boat trip on the lake, the best way to let you experience the charming and serene atmosphere of the lake with its silent harbours, fairy villas and colourful fishing boats. Lunch not included. Afternoon free to relax. Farewell dinner will be in a local restaurant along the lake shore district serving 4 course menu with drinks included. Overnight at the hotel.

8th day - Cadenabbia - Milan

After breakfast, departure for the return trip to Milan. Tour ends upon arrival in Milan with included transfer to airport or railway station.
